Pre-orders are now up for DOM35-L: Arte Moderno "Musica Cabeza" LP

Posted by Jordi Serrano on

Very happy to share with you our first release of 2018: DOM35-L - Arte Moderno Música Cabeza LP by Javier Segura and Juan Belda from the Canary Islands, Spain. Including “Ninette en New York” and “Soy Feliz” extracted from the self-titled 7’’ single gem originally published in 1982, plus unreleased material.

"Arte Moderno did not even believe in modern art, after the Dadaist motto, but had its leanings towards the extreme social/political critique, which is what usually happens when you do not feel at ease with anything around you. (...) That’s why Arte Moderno escapes classification. Tags don’t even touch it and leave it unscathed. There’s deep discord. Its critique is against everything and everybody, but especially against the then-current trends, musical and otherwise. There’s some poetry in its expression, showing up just to be crashed down. There’s love without love. There’s light in darkness."

Música Cabeza LP includes two tracks from their only 7” single b/w “Ninette en New York”/“Soy Feliz” plus six tracks recorded in 1981-1982 (first time on vinyl), complete with dossier and band bio, download code and hand stamped obi. Edition of 400 copies.

Release date (vinyl & digital): March 05, 2018
